Contributing to Automation Tasks

Thank you for considering contributing to Automation Tasks! We welcome contributions from the community to help improve and enhance our automation scripts.

How to Contribute

  1. Fork the Repository: Click on the "Fork" button in the upper-right corner of the repository's page on GitHub, creating your own copy of the repository.

  2. Clone the Repository: Clone the forked repository to your local machine using the following command (replace <DaveSimoes> with your GitHub username):

    git clone https://github.com/DaveSimoes/Automation-Task.git
  3. Create a Branch: Create a new branch for your contribution:

    git checkout -b feature/new-feature
  4. Make Changes: Implement your changes and ensure they adhere to the project's coding guidelines.

  5. Test Changes: Test your changes thoroughly to ensure they work as expected.

  6. Commit Changes: Commit your changes with a descriptive commit message:

    git add .
    git commit -m "Add new feature or fix issue"
  7. Push Changes: Push your changes to your forked repository:

    git push origin feature/new-feature
  8. Create a Pull Request: Visit the original repository on GitHub and click on the "New Pull Request" button. Provide a detailed description of your changes and submit the pull request.
