As new items are being logged, users do not know what their eventual vault-location will be. Users have to inspect the vault to see where there is sufficient space.
But, RCO does know what is on each shelf. It could suggest a vault location.
However, knowing the number of items on a shelf does not equate to knowing how much space is consumed. So, RCO has to have a (rough) knowledge of the size of each type of media. Then it could show a page detailing the volume of items on each shelf.
