Denizen 1 had a system of making certain object types 'notable'. Denizen 2 will need something similar. Is there anything that we would like to note, hindsight of Denizen 1's implementation, about this feature?

I'm obviously open for debate, but I question the place a notables system would have in D2. Objects are generally no longer being passed around in string format. Considering notables never served any real purpose beyond easy reference to clear, existing objects I'd say all we need is a new flag system.
The main usages of notables in D1 are cuboids and inventories.
Inventories, I'm not sure how that's going to go as we haven't fleshed out or even thoroughly planned systems for that in D2.
Cuboids, I feel like an equivalent to notables (possibly using server flags or similar, rather than a dedicated notable system) would be helpful. The ability to just drop the name of a cuboid into an event and trust it'll work from there (as long as the cuboid is defined) is pretty nice.
Yeah I mean events could either just use straight flag names or allow tags to be filled in as objects. Either way it would get the job done, we don't need 2 separate systems just for simple data storage.
