If in the Twitter APP under "Permissions" -> "Additional permissions" is not activated "Request email address from users", the Twitter API does not return an email address. ($response->email = NULL)
In this case, the extension generates an email address according to the scheme "twitter@username.com', which looks very much like a "real" email address.
In order to prevent the email addresses from this section from being added as Email Newsletter Recipients, I propose a scheme "username@example.org" for the generated email address.
