Night light flashes off before sleeping on Oneplus 7T (Hotdogb)

The display seems to flash briefly before sleeping even without night light, but with it is more noticeable because hte night light filter goes away when it flashes.

Also night light isnt visible before unlockign the phone (including when flicking down to open status bar and quick settings) and you can see it turn on when it unlocks. This behavior is not exhibited on my dumpling.

Same behavior on my hotdog OnePlus 7T Pro. Night light is only active when screen is unlocked.
So this create a light flashes when I lock the screen.

i can confirm that is likely the case. when it asks for biometric authentication to log into apps, the screen goes blue for a moment

also when i go into the fingerprint settings menu, even though it doesnt ask to use fingerprint, the screen also goes blue. strangely, these two cases also occur even when night light is off
