Dynamically control the order of SVG elements added to container

Where ever we add and SVG element to the container, Raphael adds it as first child of the container. Logic for it is between lines 7003-7007
if (container.firstChild) {
container.insertBefore(cnvs, container.firstChild);
} else {
container.appendChild(cnvs);
}

Can this be made dynamic, so user can control where to add an SVG.
