Images become very small when tapped on

Hi,
I'm using version 5.2.0-beta1 from F-droid and have encountered an issue with images. I have recently updated to Android 12 as well as updating Infinity so I am not sure if that might be part of the cause.
When I scroll through the feed I see images displayed as normal, but when I tap on one (for example to swipe through a gallery of images) it turns into a very tiny image in the middle of my screen. It's not possible to use the normal gestures to make the image bigger either. I've attached a screenshot of before and after I tap on a particular image:

I'm also experiencing this issue on Infinity 5.2.0-beta2 from Fdroid.
I'm running LineageOS 19.1(Android 12) on a Nokia 6.1.

As seen below I do not experience any issues running on Infinity 5.2.1 from Fdroid

It's still occurring for me and it happens on all posts with images. I should add that I am using the same OS and phone as the other commenter (LineageOS on Nokia 6.1).

I also have the same issue on Poco X3 Pro with crDroid 8.7 (Android 12); changing the display size doesn't help.
I also suspect that this is related to Android 12 somehow.

Hmm, more precisely it's related to kernel on Android 12.
I just switched my KangarooX kernel to an earlier version (Linux version 4.14.272-KangarooX (ktommy91@ryzen) (LOLZ clang version 15.0.0, LLD 15.0.0) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Mar 19 15:18:14 CET 2022),
because the newer ones have a big issue of not showing incoming calls, when the screen is off.
With that the small image issue disappeared, and double tap zooming works too.

Hi, I am encountering the same bug on the same phone after upgrading to Android 12. Did anyone find a solution already? I am enyoing this app a lot and would love to keep using it on android 12 as well.
