Months and years selection not working on Google Chrome Android

Expected Behavior vs current behaviour

Month and year selection is currently not possible on Chrome on Android. After opening one of the selections, picking a month or year from the list fails. The touch triggers whatever action would be appropriate for touching the background behind the list, e.g. closing the picker.

The problem also occurs on the official materializecss website with the provided datepicker example.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

1. Open materializecss picker demo on Chrome on Android
2. Attempt to change year

Most recent Chrome, Android 8 and 9, reproducible both on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Nokia 8.
