  • Use of InstallForge to create an installer that will add the files necessary for the application to function properly into C:\Program Files (x86)
  • Have a permanent storage.
  • Be able to automatically download the last update using a script.

I found some interesting infos in here :

  • Host all releases in Source Forge
  • Updates folder for all releases files
  • updatescript.ini file to download the latest update
  • to move releases in Updates folder, we can connect via sftp command shell
    > sftp USERNAME@frs.sourceforge.net
    > cd frs/project/PROJECTNAME #lowercase
    > rename target dest
