Python 3.8.10
Sphinx 4.4.0

When using a master table in the format:

foo <foo>
bar <subproject: bar>
lorem<lorem>

Trying to generate the documentation in the subproject 'bar' generates the following error:

Warning, treated as error:
/builds/master__.rst:9:toctree contains reference to nonexisting document 'lorem'
