Variability among annual precipitation is considerably underestimated, i.e., too many average years.

See figure IntegrationTest-WeatherGenerator_CompareWeather_QQplots.png produced by the weather generator integration tests.

--> Suggested solution: Incorporate a 1st-order Markov process based on p(wet year | wet year) and p(wet year | dry year) to recreate dry and wet spells across years
