Ftp or database sharing #6
Comments
It is possible to share - export to csv, share said csv with your friend (by ftp if desired). (S)he can import it and get all your data. |
True that one can do that, but if you overwrite one db with another file the data in the original file gets wiped. And it's also a pain in the butt do to it that way. To have the db file on an ftp or an actual database would make it a whole lot smoother. |
Pretty sure importing someone's exported CSV via the Import CSV button does not wipe any data - my friend and I are constantly importing each other's information, and haven't noticed anything missing. |
Ah never thought about doing it that way, still a hassle though if you are many people sharing data. |
You can close this i guess as it's been implemented by Tzirrit in his fork. Although only works for our group as you need to set up a server etc. |
I will leave it open as a useful enhancement |
Make it possible to share data between certain users either via ftp somehow or via a mysql database (one has to create that yourself)
