Make it possible to share data between certain users either via ftp somehow or via a mysql database (one has to create that yourself)

It is possible to share - export to csv, share said csv with your friend (by ftp if desired). (S)he can import it and get all your data.
If he scans more systems, he can update you the same way.

True that one can do that, but if you overwrite one db with another file the data in the original file gets wiped. And it's also a pain in the butt do to it that way. To have the db file on an ftp or an actual database would make it a whole lot smoother.

Pretty sure importing someone's exported CSV via the Import CSV button does not wipe any data - my friend and I are constantly importing each other's information, and haven't noticed anything missing.

Ah never thought about doing it that way, still a hassle though if you are many people sharing data.

You can close this i guess as it's been implemented by Tzirrit in his fork. Although only works for our group as you need to set up a server etc.
