Ad hoc image selections #32

The natural gallery plugin configuration in the Typo3 back-end enticingly gives a selection box entitled, "Public Selection of images (defined in the Media module)" which doesn't have much of a guide in the documentation. This field remains unpopulated until one or more selections are created in the Media Management BE module. When the "Folder" field is also defined in the same directory as the "Selection" all images (and I mean ALL images from the whole of fileadmin) are shown no matter what is in the selection.

If "folder" is not entered or is defined in a different directory the FE gives this error:

Argument 1 passed to Fab\NaturalGallery\Persistence\MatcherFactory::parseQuery() must be of the type array, null given, called in ...\ext\natural_gallery\Classes\Persistence\MatcherFactory.php on line 157

Ultimately I wish to have a selection of images from ad hoc locations included in a natural gallery. This "Public Selection" seems like it might do the job if I can get it to work. Alternatively, do you see any scope in adding Typo3 FAL collection support to the gallery?
