According to the postulate «Frauen auch in Strassennamen sichtbar machen!», there are around 200 streets named after persons. About 90% of streets are named after males. A few include only a last name and refer to multiple nameholders.

To simplify the contribution process, I started an enquiry to the official government to see if there is a list of all street names and their eponyms.

🎉 We received the official list from the local government. We are not allowed to publish it however we already mapped almost all of the 204 entries from the list. The following streets were not mapped:

  • Hompelistrasse (might refer to a limping person)
  • Piccardweg (under construction)
