Also I don't think in Android Studio 3 that the "Import Non-Android Studio" option that is mentioned exists any more (exists in AS 2.3, but the samples are not written for that).
Main readme could do with links to the Java and Kotlin samples readmes - e.g. in "Developer Instructions" subsection - a shortcut for folks who already have AS up and running.
NOTE: Do not import the project into Android Studio. There is an outstanding issue in Android Studio that requires importing the project in the steps defined below.
