This causes permissions issues. I have been looking into this, haven't found where in registry it's stored yet.

Arron found where the install location is:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\Repository\Packages\NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.962.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj

Item called PackageRootFolder has it's install location
