For some reason we added NBD (network block device) support many years ago: b56b8d9#diff-15f9b0e5270fc1caac75f8b936c3df11534ceeb08de376b7a72b38c75ff2ad1aL1122

As discussed in the fourms I don't think we actually need it in the FOS kernels.

Not very useful, i suppose, if the OS itself has no means to “access” things, but I think the intent was more toward making also a block level access over a piped filesystem share for fog-too

So we might remove NBD support along with other stuff added back then:
kernel_config_diff
