You should upgrade Gradle. The issue is in Gradle. See #955 for a similar issue. |

@cowtowncoder I moved it to this repo. The issue relates to the fastnumberparser classes in jackson-core. The updated classes that we added in v2.16.1 include Java 21 multi-release classes (the first time we have included classes that target Java 21). The issue still remains Gradle and why they cannot properly handle all Java versions. Multi-Release Jar support is an important Java feature. |
@pjfanning Ah ok. That makes more sense wrt root cause, yes. 2.16.0 had JDK 19 classes I think, causing similar issue. |
