Right now, ALLOWED_HOSTS is an environment variable that allows avatar services to specify from which hosts archtype can be used. It is a comma-separated list of IPv4 addresses. It would be better if we could enhance it with the following features:

  1. Allow for a regular expression (e.g. * or 202.*)
  2. Allow for domain names to be resolved through a DNS resolver, so hostnames can be placed in ALLOWED_HOSTS.
