[Bug] Mark as Unread requires page refresh

If you click "Mark as Unread" on a sequence page like this one, the read/unread checkbox doesn't visually change until the page is refreshed. This issue does not occur when the checkbox is initially marked as unread and you Mark as Read.

Browser: Firefox 106.0.1

(Finally, note that at the end, there seems to be a related but somewhat separate issue: if you click a bunch on a checkbox that begins as "mark as unread", it might visually look like it's marked as unread, but if you refresh the page, it might turn out to have actually been marked as read.)
