Is there an existing issue for this?

Problem description

When external spreadsheet it is in project, link value to this sheet in the Formula Editor, is not show in the content menu (help) with spreadsheet alias.
If a project contains the spreadsheet directly there're for offer.

You have created a link to the external spreadsheet I think. Auto-completion does work if you use this pattern: externalFileName#spreadsheetName.aliasName.

I too found out that autocompletion does not work if a spreadsheet is added as a link. Here's what I observed on this forum post.

It would be great for this to work, as adding a link to the spreadsheet is more flexible and convenient than associating the external spreadsheet by the externalFileName syntax.

Note how autocompletion does not work on the linked spreadsheet, yet the external reference is recognized as soon as it's fully typed.

I'd also suggest to change the title of this issue:
