Currently when hovering overing the mouse pointer over any tab in the TabBar, a generic tooltip is shown: Switch between workbenches.
A usability improvement would be for that tooltip to be context-aware and to show the name of the workbench (and an optional description) when hovering over a specific tab. Similarly to the tooltip showing the page title when hovering over a tab in the web browser.
This would offer the most benefit when using the setting Edit > Preferences > Workbenches >Available Workbenches > Workbench selector items style > Icon, whereby only icons are shown in the tabs. A quick glance at the tooltip would indicate what workbench we're looking at or we want to switch to.
Is there an existing issue for this?
