Goal: have researchers spend 1 week on climate data instead of 1 year while developing a Landlab model.

Step 0:
OGH lives in UW Freshwater repo and maintenance costs are estimated.

Step 1:
OGH makes Landlab a dependency
Add functions for I/O to Landlab grid

Outcome: user gets Landlab compatible data

Step 2: [TBD]
Landlab includes OGH in installation

OGH would need to work with:
Python 2.7
Python 3.5 +

on
Windows
Linux
Mac

Outcome: user has a ESRI shapefile or bounding box, in a few lines of code is returned rastermodelgrid of selected variables from given gridded hydromet for given time window.

  • Step 1 above DONE!

  • OGH checks that is works with Python 2.7 and Python 3.5 +

  • Review (BMI)[https://csdms.colorado.edu/wiki/BMI_Description]

  • Update figures into Use Case 7 slides - "Landlab-OGH Data Model Interoperability"

  • Clean up one Notebook example and publish in new cleaned up publishable unit on HydroShare. Could be reference resource in a folder pointing to Landlab Github folder.

  • Present Notebook and slides to Greg and Eric; make Github issue to add OGH to Landlab install

  • Step 2 (to do for Eric)

  • Include in OGH presentation at AGU. Give notes to Erkan for Landlab annual report

Notes from Aug 20: Ideally, this can be a Landlab component (winter project funding).

  • Communicate with Eric on BMI/CSDMS naming conventions

  • Make rectangle dy/dx

  • Review Sai's component and put in format of Landlab component

  • Add variables for citation for use of persistent identifier code.

  • Put new Notebook on HydroShare and send to Greg Tucker

  • What other things are needed to do? Unit tests?
