[4.3 RC2] Client stops while gaming #234
Comments
Wow indeed. The demo totally froze my computer on Windows and I had no choice but to force a reboot. Is it only happening when playing INSTAGIB? |
Yea it seams so, have see that behaviour on INSTAGIB server only. And it was very often reproducable. I have also noted that other urt player have claim about that issue. So I strongly belief its linked to that mode or to the server. Since there is no server available I can't verify if its just the server or the game mode. |
My hope was the demo can be used to see whats happen. |
I can't happen to get the demo? Can you give me an other link? |
here another link, hope it will work: |
Phew. Fixed! |
While playing on • /connect fs.barbatos.fr:1339 [EU](TDM - INSTAGIB)
my client freez, no reacts on keyboard input, no change on screen.
Happens several time, than I tried to capture the behaviour with a demo.
My OS Linux Debian
PC intel core i5
demo (rename it back to:
20150925_183246__SEG_Carca55gr1nd3r_ut4_docks_TDM.urtdemo
)
By watching demo I got same freez/behaviour. Timestamp approx. 8:47
CAUTION: the demo freez the game you need to kill the client to get back access to ya OS.
The way I had to do: change to console (linux [Ctr]+[Alt]+[F1])
at console show all process by:
ps -A
and kill the Quake3-UrT.i386 by the kill cmd:
kill {process ID}
