Try using MAPL functionality to write monthly average data (instead of using netcdf post-processing).

Verify output against monthly averages computed in post-processing.

Understand handling of no-data-values in both options. (E.g., albedo may be set to no-data-value at night.) Is the monthly average no-data or the average of all "good" values?

Compare performance (overall execution time).
