there might be an issue with 64 bit architecture

users report that values of 'coarse' and 'fine' counters might not be consistent with 64bit. However it is claimed that values are consistent with 32 bit.

remark: users have modified the PCIe kernel driver

please leave this issue open until confirmed 'fixed' by the user

the issue is still there when reading out timestamps from the old TLU

no issue with 32 bit OS, but issue with 64 bit OS

it turned this issue was caused by usage of inappropriate use of eb_data_type within the users software / driver

presumably, this is a non-issue -> closed
