It was tricky on the C710 too. Also, from what I can tell, it will be a nightmare on Bay Trail...

When HDMI audio isn't working, get the output from "sudo intel_audio_dump". That should shed some light on the issue. There is a firmware bug in coreboot regarding HDMI audio, but Linux shouldn't be affected as i915 should take control of HDMI audio.
