Description:
Currently, the registration page of our application lacks a convenient back button that allows users to navigate back to the login page. This absence of a back button poses a usability issue as it creates an unnecessary hurdle for users who wish to switch to the login page after initiating the registration process.
Expected Behavior:
Users should have a seamless transition between the registration and login pages, allowing them to easily navigate back to the login page if needed. By including a back button on the registration page, users will be able to toggle between these two important sections effortlessly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Visit the registration page of the application.
Complete the registration form with the required information.
Realize that there is no apparent way to navigate back to the login page without resorting to alternative methods (e.g., browser back button, manual URL manipulation).
Observe the inconvenience caused by the absence of a dedicated back button.
Impact:
The lack of a back button on the registration page negatively impacts the user experience and may lead to user frustration and confusion. It hinders the seamless navigation between the registration and login processes, ultimately impeding user engagement and satisfaction with our application.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a back button on the registration page, prominently placed and visually distinct to ensure ease of use.
The back button should be labeled appropriately, such as "Back to Login," "Return to Login," or similar, indicating its purpose.
Implement functionality that, upon clicking the back button, takes the user back to the login page while retaining any previously entered information in the registration form, if applicable.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure the back button functions as expected across different browsers and devices.
By addressing this issue and implementing a back button on the registration page, we can enhance the user experience, reduce frustration, and improve the overall usability of our application.
