It might be neat to be able to disable a component, or for it to have an inactive state.

I was going to ask what benefit that would be ? but on thinking about it, it would be a cool addition.

I don't think I've ever used components but I can see where it would be useful.

For example if you want to use them for notices, or polls, or news alerts, or debugging.
