Failed to install on Steam on linux

Hello,

I tried to install EET on my Steam installation, on Ubuntu 18.04 but I'm greeted with the following error:

ERROR: error loading [EET/temp/tlk_cnt.txt]
Stopping installation because of error.

Here is what I did:

• I installed both BG:EE and BG2:EE from steam and launched them once each, just to check if they were working. I didn't even started a new game, just launched the main menu.
• As I have SoD, I downloaded modmerge and ran it in my BG:EE folder successfully.
• I downloaded EET, extracted it in my BG2:EE folder and ran wine setup-EET.exe.
• When it was asking for by BG:EE+SoD path, I tried a few different things with or without the Z:/-prefix to the path, with both forward and backward slashes, with and without escaping spaces. And even tried renaming the folder to a shorter path and creating symlinks from my home. None of it worked, I always got the same error.
• As the error is related to EET/temp/ I'm now wondering if this was related at all to my BG:EE path...
• I think the Linux + Steam + Wine is creating some weird issue, but I have no idea how to diagnose it further

FWIW I managed to install EET on a Windows machine (still using Steam). Can I copy files from my Windows Steam directory to my Linux Steam directory. Would it work?

You don't need Wine to run the WeiDU installer, there is a native Linux version of WeiDU. There's no need for Wine at all.

Thanks for the tips. In the meantime I did copy files from my Windows machine to my Linux Steam folder and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the great work.
