Parsing centered text would be awesome, and would greatly improve the look of the frontmatter, which is the first thing people will see on the web pages.
I think this could be done by examining where centered expressions occur on the page. Then, classes could be added in the markdown--in Kramdown it's something like {.centered}--and those classes could be styled in the Jekyll CSS.
