The scroll behavior of the latest default Gitbook theme is buggy:

  • When PDF printing the Gitbook page we have a single page with a scroll bar on that page. The content that doesn't fit to the single page is not shown at all.
  • When viewing Gitbook on Chrome on Android the address bar doesn't auto hide when we scroll down (on normal sites it auto hides). This is big UX flaw.

I have a suspicion that Gitbook implements it's own scrolling so these bugs arise. The first one is annoying but is OK as we can download PDF version.

But the second one is a big deal breaker as it ruins mobile experience.

Is there a way to fix it?

Oh. I see now that's a legacy Gitbook bug so I doubt that it would be ever fixed...
