The HTML markup and CSS for the journal should be modernized to fix some issues:

  • Fonts are too big in webkit, because the page just relies on the traditional 16px font size default (I assume gtkhtml used something smaller).
  • It gets rendered in quirks mode - make it proper HTML5.
  • It seems to use tables for overall layout - for some reason each dialog entry is a table with a single row and cell.
