When training using a time based workout with a trainer with power output that is not a smart trainer you you are trying to follow target power with power and you can track your work with the k Joule telemetry but it would be useful to have a target kJ. If you are a bit below target you know you're not following too well and need to up the effort a little to catch up.
As target power is available this could be possible with a numerical integration (wrt time) during the workout.

Target kJ would not be in a workout file, at any time it is the area under the power/time plot defived from the workout file from start of the workout and would be calculated during the workout, i.e. by numerical integration (wrt time) of target power during the workout. Every second perform targetkJ=targetkJ+targetPower or an adjusted formula if the loop was not every second. Even just having the blue/black/red colouration in the kJoule telemetry chart like in the power telemetry would be a great help.
