Summary

Pointed out in #6628 (comment), we just say to "Leverage the font-display CSS feature" and the doc we link to is from 2016 just talking about the feature, not an opinionated performance guide to using font-display. In fact, the example uses auto which is not at all what we want.

also worthy to mention that the example uses Google Fonts assets but Google Fonts itself does not implement this optimization on their stylesheets

Google Fonts now admit &display=swap (or wahtever valid value) parameter in the url.
