Guake 0.5.0: Allow disabling of single keyboard shortcuts #376
Comments
Indeed it is a good feature |
Someone pointed my to backspace, I tried again and it worked, not sure why not before. So it seems there is a way to disable the binding, it just could be more visible. Any ideas yet? |
I was unable to "unset" a key so I think this is an improvement to do |
I cannot reproduce on my second system, an ubuntu laptop. backspace works at disabling hotkey (is the default accel-clear hotkey, as defined in http://www.pygtk.org/pygtk2reference/class-gtkcellrendereraccel.html#signal-gtkcellrendereraccel--accel-cleared Maybe it is linked to gnome keyboard configuration. |
I have reset the Control+Fn hotkeys per default, this do so many troubles for people |
A note that backspace can be used to un-assign a hotkey somewhere in the dialog would be cool, still. What do you think? That would be point "So if it is possible, please make it visible." |
Do you mean adding a label to notify the user? |
Something like that, yes. |
👍 |
My problem is that:
My current workaround is
gconftool-2 --set /schemas/apps/guake/keybindings/local/switch_tab9 --type string ''
but in my eyes that's not cool and a way in the GUI is needed.
So if it is possible, please make it visible.
If it's not possible, please make it so.
Many thanks from an otherwise happy, frequent user of Guake.
