Compile feature doesn't work

After creating a new project and making some edits, the user would probably want to be able to compile their project(s). Up in the toolbar there's a checkmark button. Pressing this should build and run the project, but instead all you get is an Error: Loading Log File..

I noticed that using make on the generated makefile gives a *** No targets. Stop. Probably this must be the reason.
