is there perhaps any possibility to detect which application (or tab if it's a browser) is producing sound at a certain moment? i'd love to setup a hotkey for switching to the current application i'm listening to music with (spotify app, soundcloud tab, youtube tab, ...).
i guess one would have to go through a list of applications and use a specific method to determine whether it is playing sound (and from which tab if it's a browser).

firefox for example shows a "tab visual sound indicator" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mute-sound-firefox-tabs; https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Tab_visual_sound_indicator). there must be an API for this. then there's
hs.spotify
...or is there a better way?
thank you,
nicolai
