Something is wrong with my colour after encoding video recored by obs with the newest nightly build #4009
Comments
Probably the classic file with the wrong color range info, can you upload a short sample produced by obs so we can take a look at what's wrong? |
if there is nothing on the link it is still uploading. |
I checked and found nothing wrong in the full -> limited range conversion. What I found is that on my computer some players play your mkv file with the wrong range if I use the hardware decoder. Which player are you using? Maybe try to disable the hardware decoder in the player and see if something changes. |
vlc |
can it encode full range with extra arguments? |
It's not an HandBrake issue, but it's probably an issue with your player that plays your original file wrong. Try another player or try to disable the hardware decoder in vlc preferences and see what happens. |
i also noticed that it introduces lots of artifacs even on low crf x265 |
mpv displays it properly. |
workaroung by recording 4-4-4 colour range with obs works |
