Problem Description

Hello,

Handbrake was working brilliantly, but now all of a sudden it has stopped reducing the file size and added slightly more to the file size. I have tried all the 720 presets, slow, fast, faster etc changed the quality and still increases the file size instead of reducing it.

Can anyone help with this please?

Not without more information, since there isn't much to work with here.

One possibility is that you're trying to work with an already compressed file, and the configuration you've give makes it bigger. But we cannot know that from what you've posted.

Hi mate,

Ok the preset I use is very fast 720p30, dimensions are 1280 x 688, no filters, video frame rate same as source, quality is at 27 and subtitles are foreign audio search. The original file size is 1.05gb, but the finished file size is 1.23gb. I am trying to get the file size down to around 800mb.
