So now that my to-do for major changes is done, I finally started thinking about the new name.

Honestly I don't like referring to open / foss / libre in the name. There are already several other open source keyboards, so that's pointing towards anything special.

For identification as a keyboard app, the name should probably include key, board or keyboard. Could also be a pronounceable acronym like e.g. Yet Another Keyboard (YAK).

But what would be good? I currently have no idea...

Not a fan of when people do "yet another" naming. It's common like "open" or "libre".

Why not just call it Helium Keyboard? A low-density, non-toxic keyboard, like the gas itself and you, the maintainer? It fits with what the project is trying to do. A keyboard with only what is needed for a functional keyboard and none of the bad stuff like telemetry or tracking yet you can still add stuff like Glide and external dictionaries, etc.
