Kaspersky Security Cloud detects as a false positive? #5
Comments
You can compile the program yourself. I'm not focusing on false positives of pseudo-AV programs. |
Hi again @TheGhostie21. Sorry for the "cold" reply yesterday. I appreciate that you spent time to inform about this issue. It's just that I don't like false positives, especially from antiviruses accused of being spyware themselves: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaspersky_bans_and_allegations_of_Russian_government_ties Anyway, I released version 1.3.0. This version was compiled without unused functions (which I used for testing different solutions). Could you please test and see if Kaspersky is still crying? |
No worries! It's understandable. I’ll try testing it tomorrow. Hopefully, it doesn't trigger a false positive. Till the meantime, have a great evening! You made a great program so far! ^^ |
Off-topic: I hope it's not your screenshot? I don't think the whole Users folder should be excluded. |
Oh, I excluded just the file itself (in the Downloads folder); I didn't show it because it had my name for users. |
Ah, i thought you added a wildcard exclusion for the whole Users folder :) |
@TheGhostie21, could you please check if version 1.4.0 still has false positives problem? |
yup, it seemed to fixed the issue ^^ |
