Provide a detailed description of the proposed feature
sshpass should not be blacklisted.
users are to be responsible for their own systems, its not up to communities or upstream software to decide basic things like authentication methods that should or not be authorized.
What is the motivation for the feature?
many providers setup new systems for users to use, with a starting point of having only login/password pair, and no support for pubkey, which the user needs to configure afterwards.
this is fine. what is not fine is blacklisting sshpass.
How will the feature be relevant to at least 90% of Homebrew users?
considering most people dont use password authentication for production, i wonder if its even a case to even blacklist it?
if "nobody" uses it, why do you care about blacklisting it?
What alternatives to the feature have been considered?
hacks which bring less security.
bring back freedom to users!
