Description of issue
If you run
brew upgrade
on a very slow internet connection, it will never progress to downloading the other things.(
--debug
added for the purpose of this reporting)I know the network I am currently on is very slow (~500 kilobytes). However, because of the slow network, it is effectively impossible to upgrade anything (or run
brew doctor
).The issue seems to be in the use of
--max-time
. The intention was probably--connect-timeout
(timeout only on connecting phrase), but it should been more than 5 seconds (considering users with potentially very slow users).brew update
works fine.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
