Steps for adding a Contactless Card as a Security Key:

  1. Log in to the admin panel.
  2. Go to the Users section on the left-side menu, click the All Users. This section lists all users associated with your workspace.
  3. Initiate User Addition: Click on the New User option to open a wizard for adding a new user.
  4. Enter User Information: In the wizard, enter all the necessary information about the user. This might include details like user ID, name, email, username, etc. Choose the groups that you want the user to be a part of. These groups might determine the user’s permissions and access rights and Click the Done button.
  5. Security Key Assignment: If you want, you can also assign a security key of any type, i.e. smartphone, card, fingerprint, or USB key, to this user.
  6. Choose Card as Security Key. If you turn off the default toggle, you will make settings for your card.
    • Offline Login: Enabling Offline Login allows users to log in with this device without an internet connection.
    • Verification: Select the verification method you want to use for this contactless card: PINless or PIN Verification.
  7. Click on the Next button.
  8. Select the activation method: Depending on your proximity to the card and the user’s involvement, choose how to activate the card.
    • Activate now: If you have the card physically near you, choose this option. The card will be activated immediately. you will see messages shown to you by Windows regarding registering a USB Security key. Follow the steps, and when the system asks you to Touch your Security key, tap your card on the card reader.
    • Activate by the user via email: Set a name for the contactless card to identify it within the system. click on the Done button, Your user will receive an email containing a card activation link. By clicking on the activation link and tapping the card on the card reader, the card will be activated for the user.
  9. Reader Driver Installation: Make sure that you or the user has installed the necessary reader driver on the computer where the card will be used. If needed, you can download the driver from the provided link.
  10. If the card is assigned and activated successfully, set a name for the card and click Done to finalize the assignment.
  11. The user will receive an email about setting their PIN as a security key if they have chosen method PIN Verification. They will need this PIN to use the card for secure logins.
