Hi,

I have a use-case where I want the IFC as a GLTF to use in Blender.
I was hoping the web viewer can have a download button that uses threejs GLTF exporter and downloads a glb file.

Similar to the export section in gltf.report (https://gltf.report/)

Have you try blender bim instead?

Yes. Blender BIM has a few issues.

  • It's still in alpha and in their own words "We don't yet package it with any confidence for the public"
  • Not built for Darrwin. Doesn't work on my M1 Mac.

And a web based GLTF download will simplify directly using it in three.js applications by developers and not just designers.

Can you check Online 3D Viewer? It is also based on ifc.js

Hey, we don't provide end-user software (if that's what you mean), but we have logic to export to gltf. You can either export a single gltf or split by cathegories and/or levels.

Understood. As suggested in the other comment, the Online 3D Viewer seems to have a lot of the functionality I need and is an end-user-software. The issues might be out of the scope of the library and can be closed.

Thank you.
