WebExtension version (compatibility with Firefox 57+) #31
Comments
I's possible to port only page-related part: as I understand, will be no ability to handle clicks on interface things like bookmarks. |
Oh, I see. That's unfortunate, but better than nothing. Do you personally plan on porting the page-related functionality of the add-on, or would it be too difficult/time consuming? |
I can't imagine using Firefox without being able to right-click to open a link in a new tab. |
@Infocatcher Do you think you can update to use WebExtensions API for page-related functions? |
This looks doable (but only to open links from page), the deal is only about free time to play with new APIs... |
Sounds great! I just waved my magic wand, and now you have all the free time in the world! :) |
Another vote for WebEx. Just the page-related function is good enough, that's indispensable!! |
Any time available for working on a WebExtensions version? This is such an essential extension. |
@Gitoffthelawn It's a work in progress: https://github.com/Infocatcher/Right_Links_WE |
@Keith94 Thanks! |
Signed beta version: |
Strange, I see new version even if I logged-out. |
My sincere apologies. It turns out the issue with not seeing the beta version was an over-aggressive regex filter on my end. I've fixed the issue, and the beta versions show up just fine. Again, you have my apologies. |
Oh, nice to see, that issue was fixed. |
Released on AMO: |
Thank you so much! |
Hi Infocatcher, The latest version seems faulty. It opens 2 similar tabs at once. |
Hello, are there any plans to develop a WebExtension version of this add-on in anticipation of Mozilla's upcoming changes in Firefox 57? Do WebExtensions even grant the functionality required for Right Links to work?
Thank you for reading.
