How to enable interstitials.xml

I see what looks to have been a static dataset to cycle through but it doesn't seem to be connected. Can you confirm on how the interstitials.xml file can be used or is this just old code?

Yeah, I believe that's old code, left over from the first iteration of the project. Originally, the interstitials (the full-screen images that fill in before a full-screen transition) had text titles, so the xml was used to pass in the text.
