Run the forge-1.16.5 jar not the minecraft_server jar. |
as above said use the forge jar file as the "server jar" file is the normal vanilla jar make sure you also have atleast 6b useable on the server to have no issue due to memory |
I have a very similar problem, but i cannot run the forge-1.16.5-36.2.23.jar file. are there any steps i need to do before attempting to run the file, the eula is agreed to and the java version is 8 |
I'm not quite sure what "6b" is, but I'm assuming you meant to say 6G |
you're just connecting to the wrong port, not specifying one will connect you to the default (25565), as it tells on your server logs, the port should be 25569. ie, |
I'm having this same issue. When I run the forge-1.16.5-36.2.23.jar file it creates a "logs" folder but doesn't do anything else. |
I'm not even sure if this is a bug or not, but when I try to run the server from Curseforge it just doesn't work. The server starts up fine, but when anyone tried to join(including me) I just receive the "io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception" message
