Hello everyone, please I need some guidance on how to phase out some technologies in the electricity generation sector. I have followed the tutorial example carefully but the results are not what I expected. My plan is to have a power sector made up of only wind, solar, geothermal, and hydro by 2050. So, I am using ceilings for all technologies for energy sources outside these 4 energy sources. The attached xmls is an example of what I want to achieve (If it works then I can go ahead to apply it to all the regions I am interested in). Based on the electricity production in 2025 by a particular technology, I exogenously specify values where the value in 2025 linearly declines to zero for all the technologies I am not interested in. In the tutorial, it says that "min-price should be set to a large negative number (e.g., -10000) for years in which an exact constraint is desired rather than a floor or ceiling. Otherwise, it can remain at the default (0)". I have tried both approaches but after simulation, all those technologies are still producing electricity above the set threshold (ceiling) when I query "elec gen by gen tech". I will be very happy and grateful to get some assistance here on this issue @zarrarkhan@pkyle. Thank you.
